REGENSBURGER VIERTEL – NEW RESIDENTIAL AREAS IN THE FRANCONIAN METROPOLIS
In order to enhance the ecological value of the residential area, great importance was attached to preserving the existing trees from the outset. The development plan stipulates mandatory green roofs as well as ground-based façade greening, which has a sound-absorbing effect and covers both steel and solid walls.
Due to the required growth height and the specific plant load class, intermediate brackets were required, the design of which was determined on the basis of system statics. The decision was made in favour of the GREENCABLE HEAVY bracket system from Carl Stahl ARC, as it was in stock and available with a short delivery time in order to meet the tight construction window. An adapter plate was specially developed for secure anchoring to the masonry joints, which reliably transfers the high loads into the building. In combination with GREENCABLE LIGHT, bush-like greenery can be created in the lower area. The arrangement of the cables creates a tree-like appearance in the inner courtyard and at the same time ensures biodiversity and cooling effects – in the centre of the city.
